What I do

Analysis built to survive
a dressing-room argument.

I'm Colm Haverty — a hurling player and performance analyst studying Commerce at the University of Galway, currently a senior analyst with the university's Student Managed Fund. I bring that same data discipline to the sideline: every tackle, turnover, puckout and shot is tagged live and turned into a report a management team can actually use before the next training session.

Match Tagging

Live, half-by-half recording of tackles, positive and negative turnovers, puckout outcomes, frees and shot data — attributed to the individual player and their line.

Positional Breakdown

Defenders, midfielders and forwards analysed separately, so you can see exactly where a team's work-rate, retention or discipline is being won or lost.

Puckout Strategy

Long vs. short splits, clean-catch vs. break-ball success, and how a team's own restart holds up against the opposition's — half by half.

Scoring Efficiency

Shots, wides and conversion rate tracked by half, surfacing exactly when and why accuracy drops off, not just the final scoreline.

Possession Load

Ball-in-hand possession counts per player, identifying who's actually carrying the game and whether that load is sustainable across 60 minutes.

Written Reports

Every match becomes a clear, visual report — delivered as a document your management team can bring straight into a video session.

Why it matters

Marginal gains, made legible.

High-achieving teams already train hard and watch the same match-day footage as everyone else. The edge is in what the numbers show that the eye misses.

Evidence over instinct

Instead of "we didn't work hard enough in the second half," a report can show precisely which line's tackle count or turnover rate dropped, and when — turning a vague team talk into a specific, actionable point.

Objective player development

Individual possession, tackle and turnover data gives management an honest, consistent basis for team selection and development conversations — separate from reputation or a single highlight.

Puckout and restart edge

Puckout retention is one of the most repeatable, coachable aspects of the modern game. Tracking long/short success by half turns it into a rehearsable game plan rather than a guess.

Pattern recognition across a season

A single match report is useful; a season of them is a scouting database — on your own team and on the opposition you're about to meet in a championship draw.

Process

From sideline to report.

01

Capture

Live tagging pitch-side or from match footage — every tackle, turnover, puckout, free and shot, logged to the minute and half.

02

Structure

Raw events are organised by player, position line and half, so patterns by role become visible rather than buried in a spreadsheet.

03

Analyse

Efficiency, retention and workload trends are compared half-to-half and against the opposition's own numbers.

04

Report

A clear, visual write-up is delivered within days of the match — built to be used directly in the next training or video session.

"The stats don't replace the eye — they tell you where to point it."

What management teams say.

A sample of the kind of feedback reports aim to earn — this space fills out with real testimonials as more teams come on board.

★★★★★

"Having the tackle and turnover numbers broken down by line meant our team talk after the game was about specifics, not impressions. It changed how we prepared for the next one."

Team Manager — Club Hurling
★★★★★

"The puckout breakdown alone was worth it — we didn't realise how much our restart success dropped in the second half until it was in front of us."

Selector — Underage Hurling
★★★★☆

"Clear, well laid out, and delivered quickly enough to actually use before the next session."
